Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Testing Engineer with extensive experience in software testing methodologies and a robust proficiency in Cypress. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through rigorous testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and create comprehensive test plans.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
- Perform regression testing and ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
- Mentor junior testing team members and share best practices.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in Cypress for end-to-end testing.
- Proficient in JavaScript and testing frameworks.
- Experience with API testing and performance testing tools.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Experience in mobile application testing.
- Knowledge of other testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
- Relevant certifications in software testing are a plus.
