: Senior Associate – Scientific Writing (Publications)Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate – Scientific Writing to join our Medical Communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end development of complex, high-impact publication deliverables (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide decks) from primary and secondary data sources.

As a senior member of the team, you will drive scientific excellence, mentor junior writers, and interface directly with clients and authors. A proven track record of peer-reviewed, acknowledged scientific publications and proficiency in publication management tools are strictly mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities Content Development & Scientific Excellence

- Draft complex scientific deliverables, including peer-reviewed manuscripts, literature reviews, congress abstracts, posters, and slide decks,



utilizing clinical study reports (CSRs), protocols, and statistical analysis plans (SAPs).
- Develop medically relevant, accurate content across various therapeutic indications, ensuring adherence to client branding guidelines and strict timelines.
- Execute rigorous fact-checking and referencing to ensure all content is scientifically valid, authentic, and supported by up-to-date biomedical literature.
- Maintain strict compliance with international pharmaceutical regulations, ICMJE guidelines, GPP2/GPP3/GPP2022 standards, and client-specific SOPs.

Publication Management & Tool Proficiency

- Manage publication workflows (concurrent, sequential, and hybrid) within proprietary platforms such as Datavision and PubsHub PM Solution.
- Oversee compliance tracking within tools, including creating projects, uploading source documents, tracking milestones, and maintaining attributes (journals, submission status, citations, etc.).
- Enforce version control and establish precise publication timelines, proactively communicating updates to senior management.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Lead client kick-off meetings to map out project requirements, define Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and align on turnaround times.
- Manage direct communications with global clients, external authors, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) with high professional diplomacy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Medical Writing Lead, Project Management, and Graphics teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Address ad-hoc client requests efficiently within stipulated turnaround times without compromising quality.

Peer Review & Mentorship

- Conduct rigorous peer reviews of content developed by junior team members to ensure scientific rigor and alignment with client expectations.




- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to elevate the writing capabilities of the broader team.

Desired Skills & QualificationsEducation & Experience (Mandatory)

- Advanced Degree in Life Sciences: M. Pharm, Pharm.D, Ph.D., or a related postgraduate life sciences degree.
- Experience:5 to 10 years of dedicated medical/scientific writing experience within a pharmaceutical company or leading medical communications agency.
- Publication Track Record: Must have documented, acknowledged authorship or writing contributions to peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Technical & Specialized Skills

- Mandatory Software Expertise: Hands-on experience using publication management tools, specifically Datavision and PubsHub.
- Technical Tools: High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and reference management software (EndNote, Mendeley, etc.).
- Scientific Acumen: Deep understanding of clinical research design, statistical data interpretation, and specialized medical/therapeutic areas.

Soft Skills

- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for Writing: A strong flair for scientific storytelling and translating complex data into clear, impactful narratives.
- Proactive Networking: Ability to build and maintain qualified relationships with global stakeholders, authors, and internal teams.
