Role & responsibilities

Position Summary

Lead design, development, integration, validation and industrialization of HV battery packs for EVs and energy storage applications, covering pack architecture, cell and BMS selection, virtual validation, testing and homologation, manufacturing feasibility and field issue resolution. The role reports to the Head Battery R&D.;

Experience framing: EV battery pack development, automotive R&D; or energy storage, with a core portion in HV pack design, and proven team and programme leadership.

5. Roles and Responsibilities





- Lead end-to-end development of HV battery packs from concept to SOP; define architecture, technical roadmap and design standards.
- Mentor battery pack engineers; establish engineering best practices and design review processes.
- Define system requirements from vehicle, customer and regulatory specifications; drive mechanical, electrical, thermal and safety design.
- Support selection and integration of cells, BMS, contactors, fuses, connectors, cooling and safety components.
- Lead virtual validation: structural, thermal, vibration, durability and safety simulation; correlate with physical test data.
- Define the DVP and validation strategy; lead performance, environmental, vibration, abuse, durability, ingress protection and safety testing.
- Support compliance with applicable automotive standards; coordinate homologation with testing agencies and regulators.
- Provide technical direction on manufacturing and assembly; guide DFM and DFA; support pilot builds and SOP readiness.
- Lead field failure investigation, corrective and preventive actions and warranty trend analysis.
- Coordinate with Vehicle Engineering, BMS, Testing, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain; manage cell suppliers, BMS vendors and certification agencies; drive planning, resourcing and risk management.
