About the Role

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and street-smart QA Automation Engineer who can ensure product quality through robust automation, effective manual testing, and smart problem-solving.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in test automation, a strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, and the confidence to challenge assumptions, identify risks early, and work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements, identify edge cases, and prevent defects early.
- Build and maintain reliable, reusable, and scalable automation test suites.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to faster, more reliable releases.
- Investigate test failures intelligently and distinguish between application defects, automation issues, and environment-related problems.
- Take ownership of quality throughout the software development lifecycle rather than treating testing as a final checkpoint.
- Communicate risks, blockers, defects, and release readiness clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactively question unclear requirements, challenge assumptions constructively, and recommend practical improvements to product quality and testing processes.

Required Technical Skills

- Experience: 2 years in software testing,



including hands-on test automation.
- Automation: Practical experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or a similar automation framework.
- Programming: Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or another relevant programming language.
- API Testing: Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Testing Fundamentals: Strong understanding of test case design, test planning, regression testing, defect lifecycle, and exploratory testing.
- Database: Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data validation and backend verification.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- CI/CD: Basic understanding of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent tools.
- Agile Practices: Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
