Java API Management & Microservices(Springboot, Microservices, AWS)

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Delivery Ownership

- Lead a team of engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable microservices within the Language Learning Platform.
- Own team delivery outcomes, ensuring features are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Support planning, estimation, and prioritization to ensure realistic and achievable commitments.
- Manage team workload, balancing priorities across multiple initiatives and deadlines.

Hands-On Development & Technical Guidance

- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of microservices using Java and Spring.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance to the team, helping solve complex implementation challenges.
- Ensure systems are scalable, performant, and maintainable, especially for high-volume content (audio, video, text).
- Support key technical decisions within the team, balancing speed, quality, and scalability.

Code Quality & Engineering Standards

- Lead and enforce coding standards, best practices, and design principles.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure consistency, performance, and maintainability.
- Promote a culture of quality, ownership,



and continuous improvement across the team.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment

- Work closely with Product Managers, Project/Program Managers, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure smooth collaboration with frontend, mobile, and QA teams to deliver cohesive features.
- Partner with client stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide technical input.

Execution & Problem Solving

- Identify and resolve technical blockers, risks, and dependencies impacting team delivery. Ensure efficient processing and handling of large-scale content and data flows.
- Take ownership of complex issues and production challenges, driving them to resolution.

Mentorship & Team Development

- Mentor and support engineers through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
- Help team members grow in technical skills, ownership, and delivery capability.
- Foster a team-oriented environment focused on learning, accountability, and performance.

Process & Continuous Improvement

- Improve team processes related to development, delivery, and collaboration.
- Support Agile/Scrum practices and drive efficiency in ceremonies and workflows.
- Contribute to improving tools, pipelines, and engineering practices within the team.
