IT Engineer – Symphony Trading Software & IT Infrastructure

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled IT Engineer to manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, workstations, networks, firewalls, and cybersecurity systems. The candidate should have hands-on experience with Symphony trading software, stock market-related IT operations, exchange compliance requirements, and vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT).

The ideal candidate should be capable of ensuring system availability, network security, smooth trading operations, and timely resolution of technical issues.

Key Responsibilities1. Server and System Administration

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Servers and Linux Servers.
- Manage Windows workstations, operating systems, software installation, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor server performance, availability, storage, backups, and system logs.
- Perform regular patching, security updates, and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and server-related issues.

2. Symphony Trading Software and Stock Market IT Operations

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Symphony trading software and related applications.
- Provide technical support for dealer terminals, trading workstations, and other stock market-related applications.
- Troubleshoot trading software connectivity, login, performance, and application-related issues.
- Coordinate with software vendors, exchanges, and internal teams to resolve technical issues affecting trading operations.
- Support smooth and uninterrupted IT operations during market hours.

3. Network and Firewall Management

- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, internet connectivity, and network devices.
- Possess working knowledge of firewalls, managed switches, VLANs, routing, and network security.
- Monitor network traffic, identify connectivity issues, and implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Manage firewall rules, access controls, VPN connectivity, and network security configurations.
- Maintain network documentation, IP addressing, and device configurations.

4. Cybersecurity, SOC and VAPT





- Implement and monitor cybersecurity controls to protect company systems, networks, and data.
- Coordinate with Security Operations Centre (SOC) teams for security monitoring, incident reporting, and resolution.
- Coordinate vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT), remediation, and closure of identified vulnerabilities.
- Monitor security alerts, system logs, endpoint protection, antivirus, and suspicious activities.
- Support incident response, access management, and information security audits.

5. Exchange Compliance and IT Audit

- Assist in implementing and maintaining applicable NSE, BSE, SEBI, and other relevant regulatory IT and cybersecurity requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, exchanges, and internal teams for IT audits and compliance activities.
- Maintain IT policies, asset registers, system configurations, access records, backup records, and compliance documentation.
- Track audit observations and ensure timely closure of identified gaps.
- Support periodic security assessments, risk reviews, and compliance reporting.

6. Google Workspace (G Suite) Administration

- Administer Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), including Gmail, user accounts, groups, and access permissions.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding, password policies, and multi-factor authentication.
- Troubleshoot email delivery, account access, and other Google Workspace issues.
- Support email security, data protection, and account security configurations.

7. Server and Network Monitoring

- Use server and network monitoring tools to track system health, uptime, performance, and availability.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, connectivity issues, and service interruptions.
- Monitor backup jobs, disk utilization, resource consumption,



and critical IT services.
- Maintain incident logs and prepare periodic infrastructure status reports.

8. Hardware, Software and End-User Support

- Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
- Manage IT inventory, software licensing, and IT asset allocation.
- Provide timely technical support to employees and dealers.
- Maintain proper documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and preventive maintenance activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, and network support.
- Hands-on experience with Symphony trading software is strongly preferred.
- Practical knowledge of Windows Server and Windows workstation installation and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Linux server installation, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Valuable understanding of firewalls, managed switches, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, SOC operations, VAPT, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with Google Workspace administration.
- Familiarity with server and network monitoring tools.
- Understanding of stock broking operations, dealer terminals, and exchange-related IT compliance requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates with experience in a stock broking firm, depository participant, financial services company, or BFSI organization will be preferred.
- Candidates who can independently manage IT infrastructure and troubleshoot critical issues during market hours will have an advantage.
- Willingness to coordinate with vendors, auditors, exchanges, and internal teams as required.
