We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intermodal Dispatcher to join our growing logistics team. In this remote role, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of intermodal freight across rail and truck networks, ensuring timely pickups, deliveries, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate has experience in U.S. intermodal transportation, robust communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Dispatch and monitor intermodal shipments from origin to destination.
- Coordinate with drivers, rail terminals and customers to ensure on-time service.
- Schedule pickups, deliveries, and container returns.
- Track freight movements and proactively resolve delays or service issues.
- Communicate shipment updates to customers and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate shipment records on the system.
- Verify appointments, detention, demurrage, and chassis availability.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Work with carriers and brokers to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.




- Handle after-hours issues when necessary.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of experience in intermodal dispatching or U.S. freight logistics.
- Knowledge of rail operations, drayage, ports, and intermodal transportation.
- Experience using TMS platforms, load boards, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
