Role Description The Image Processing Specialist will work on-site in Coimbatore in a full time capacity, focusing on developing and implementing computer vision and image analysis solutions for robotic automation. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and optimizing image processing algorithms, integrating vision systems with industrial robots, and performing calibration and testing to ensure accurate detection, recognition, and measurement. The specialist will collaborate closely with robotics engineers and software developers to translate application requirements into robust vision solutions, troubleshoot issues in production environments, and refine system performance.





The role also involves documenting workflows, maintaining technical standards, and supporting demonstrations, pilots, and customer deployments.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of image processing and computer vision techniques (e.g., filtering, segmentation, feature extraction, object detection).
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for vision and robotics, such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
- Experience with vision libraries and frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, HALCON, or similar tools) and integration of cameras and lighting systems.
- Familiarity with robotics and automation concepts, including robot guidance, 2D/3D vision, and industrial communication interfaces.
- Ability to analyze data, validate algorithms, and optimize performance for real-time or near real-time applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- Experience in industrial robotics, factory automation, or machine vision applications is an advantage.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to document technical solutions clearly.
