Role Description The Head of Sports at Geneva Liberal School will lead the planning, development, and delivery of the school’s sports and physical education programs. This full-time, on-site role is based in Ahmedabad and involves designing age-appropriate sports curricula, organizing practices, competitions, and events, and ensuring effective use of sports facilities and resources.

The Head of Sports will coach and mentor students across different sports, promote participation and fair play, and collaborate with academic staff to integrate physical education into the broader school experience. The role includes managing sports staff, setting performance standards, overseeing safety and risk management,



and representing the school in external sports associations and events. The Head of Sports will also contribute to strategic planning for long-term sports development and community engagement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with students, families, colleagues, and external partners.
- Candidates should possess Strategic Planning and Sports Management skills for designing programs, managing budgets, and overseeing sports operations.
- Candidates should possess Coaching skills and experience in mentoring student-athletes, developing training plans, and fostering healthy competition.
- Candidates should possess Marketing and promotional skills to build visibility for school sports, increase student participation, and strengthen community outreach.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field; advanced certifications in coaching or sports administration are an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience leading school or youth sports programs, knowledge of safety standards and child safeguarding practices, and the ability to work in a multicultural, inclusive environment.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple teams, events, and schedules throughout the academic year.
