Position: Finance Controller

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO

Location: Mumbai

Role Summary

Responsible for managing the company’s overall financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting, strong financial controls, timely reporting, cash-flow management, statutory compliance, and effective financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, banking, and general ledger.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and fund requirements.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control.
- Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, production costing, and profitability analysis, particularly for copper and metal products.
- Ensure proper accounting and controls for purchases, sales, inventory, imports, exports, and foreign-exchange transactions.
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, banks, and financial institutions.




- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls and approval processes.
- Review financial performance and provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to management.
- Identify financial risks, control leakages, and improve overall financial efficiency.
- Support management in CAPEX planning, financing, investment decisions, and business expansion.
- Ensure accurate and timely year-end closing and audit completion.

Key Skills & Qualifications

- CA / CMA / MBA Finance preferred.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing, metals, recycling, or trading.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, costing, taxation, GST, MIS, budgeting, and working capital management.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel.
- Robust analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in import-export finance and foreign exchange will be an advantage.
