About the RoleDie Sprachakademie Guwahati is looking for a motivated German Language Teacher to join our growing academic team. The selected candidate will teach German from A1 to B2, help students prepare for telc examinations, and support learners pursuing professional opportunities in Germany, particularly in the nursing sector.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, structured lessons, monitor student progress, and help learners develop the language proficiency and communication skills required for their next steps.

We provide accommodation and food to support the successful candidate while working in Guwahati.

Responsibilities

- Conduct structured German language classes at A1–B2 levels, according to teaching ability and batch requirements.
- Teach German grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading and writing.
- Prepare students for telc examinations through practice exercises, mock tests and targeted revision.
- Teach practical German communication and nursing-related vocabulary where relevant.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets and classroom activities.
- Assess student performance, maintain progress records and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students in improving confidence, fluency and examination readiness.
- Maintain attendance records and contribute to a disciplined, supportive learning environment.
- Coordinate with the academic team to ensure consistent teaching quality and progress across batches.

Qualifications and Minimum Requirements
- German proficiency:



A minimum B2-level German certificate from telc or Goethe, with all required examination modules completed. C1-level proficiency is an advantage.
- Language skills: Strong command of German grammar, pronunciation and spoken communication.
- Teaching skills: Ability to explain concepts clearly and teach German at A1–A2 level; the ability to teach B1–B2 is an advantage.
- Exam preparation: Familiarity with telc examination formats is preferred.
- Communication: Valuable interpersonal skills, patience and the ability to work with learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Organisation: Ability to prepare lessons, manage classroom activities and monitor student progress.
- Availability: Willingness to work on-site in Guwahati. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching German to nursing students or healthcare professionals.
- Experience preparing learners for telc B1 or B2 examinations.
- Previous German language teaching experience.
- Knowledge of English, Hindi or Assamese to help explain concepts to learners.
