Role Summary The Full-Stack Developer will support the Digitalisation Cell in building and maintaining scalable web applications across the institute's digital transformation initiatives. The role will contribute across both front-end and back-end development, working with Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and JavaScript to develop applications, APIs, database solutions, and interactive user experiences. The role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and performance-oriented technology solutions.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js, including Express.js or similar frameworks.
- Build and optimise PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, query optimisation, and stored procedures.
- Develop front-end components and interactive features using JavaScript, including up-to-date frameworks where applicable.
- Create and integrate RESTful APIs to enable effective communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- Develop scalable and maintainable applications using Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and JavaScript.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality technology solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise applications to improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Follow clean coding, documentation, version control, and development best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and continuously enhance technical capabilities.

Eligibility & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Node.js, including Express.js or similar frameworks.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimisation, and stored procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and ES6+, including asynchronous programming.
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
- Familiarity with Git/GitLab and version control practices.
- Experience with front-end development tools such as Webpack, Babel, npm, and/or yarn.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines will be an advantage.
