- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in an architect or senior technical lead role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java (8/11/17), J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and Hibernate/JPA.
- Proven experience designing and building microservices and REST APIs at scale.
- Strong experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience with messaging and streaming tools (Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar).
- Solid knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with API gateways, authentication and authorisation (OAuth2, JWT, SSO).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab or similar).




- Solid communication skills and the ability to present designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP) and cloud-native design.
- Experience with observability tools (ELK/Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
- Experience in banking or another regulated industry.
- Knowledge of security practices such as OWASP, secure coding and threat modelling.
- Architecture or cloud certifications (TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect).
