As an FSP Manager, you will be a key member of the FSP team, supporting one of our global pharmaceutical clients. As a primary point of contact between Phastar and the client, you will provide a client-centric service that focuses on satisfying FSP client staffing and account oversight needs. You will need significant hands-on programming experience, particularly with R.

The ideal candidate will combine strong people leadership skills with hands-on technical expertise and the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

This role is full-time and fully-remote. The successful candidate may be based in India.

Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of programmers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Provide technical leadership and hands-on support in R programming projects.

Support the development and implementation of R-based solutions within clinical research and biometrics programs.

Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of projects and strategic initiatives.

Contribute to process improvements, technology adoption, and operational excellence across the function.

Support business growth through effective stakeholder management and resource planning.

Essential Requirements

- Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on R programming expertise.
- Experience using R within a biometrics, clinical data science, or CDISC programming environment is preferred.
- Candidates with significant R programming experience in other industries will also be considered.

Qualifications

- Experience managing and leading client interactions beyond project deliverables,



including strategic discussions and relationship management.
- Proven experience driving or supporting department-wide R migration initiatives, including infrastructure setup, package validation, governance, and best practices.
- Experience managing financial aspects of projects or accounts, including budgets, forecasting, revenue, and margin performance.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer facing experience and capability - either from study-level operational relationships (for example, being a study lead) or commercial interactions is advantageous
- Recruitment process experience is advantageous
