We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior PHP Laravel Developer with 4 years of hands-on experience in backend development and distributed systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP, Laravel, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Nginx, along with a solid understanding of scalable, secure, and high-performance application architecture.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining backend services and APIs while working closely with product, frontend, DevOps, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using PHP and Laravel.

Build robust and secure RESTful APIs and backend services.

Develop and maintain microservices and distributed systems.

Design and implement asynchronous processing and event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ and Kafka.

Work with PostgreSQL for database design, optimization, queries, indexing, and performance tuning.

Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes.

Work with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure provisioning.

Configure and maintain Nginx for application hosting, reverse proxying, load balancing, and performance optimization.

Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and resource utilization.

Implement appropriate logging, monitoring, error handling, and alerting.

Follow secure coding practices and ensure application security.

Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Collaborate with DevOps engineers to improve CI/CD and deployment processes.





Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to technical decision-making.

Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical planning.

Required Skills & Experience

Backend Development

4 years of professional software development experience.

Strong hands-on experience with PHP.

Strong experience with Laravel framework.

Excellent understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture.

Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs.

Good understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and backend best practices.

Messaging & Event-Driven Systems

Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ.

Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.

Understanding of message queues, producers, consumers, retries, acknowledgements, dead-letter queues, and event-driven architecture.

Experience designing reliable asynchronous and distributed workflows.

Database

Strong experience with PostgreSQL.

Valuable understanding of database design, normalization, indexing, transactions, locking, and query optimization.

Experience troubleshooting database performance issues.

DevOps & Infrastructure

Practical experience with Kubernetes for deploying and managing applications.

Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

Good understanding of containers and Docker.

Experience configuring Nginx as a reverse proxy/web server.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.





Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.

Good to Have

Experience with microservices architecture.

Experience with Redis or other caching technologies.

Experience with Docker and containerized environments.

Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
