The role involves designing and configuring Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical switchgear and distribution equipment based on customer requirements.

The engineer will prepare electrical drawings, develop control schemes, select components, and support manufacturing teams remotely, primarily for projects handled by North American manufacturing plants.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and configure electrical switchgear layouts and assemblies as per customer specifications.
- Prepare electrical single-line diagrams, front elevation drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.
- Develop control schemes using PLCs and relays for automated power transfer operations.
- Design ground-fault protection schemes, including systems with multiple power sources.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and modify standard assemblies to meet project requirements.
- Interpret customer specifications, drawings, and technical documents to develop suitable engineering solutions.
- Ensure designs meet project timelines, budgets, and technical requirements.




- Provide remote technical support to manufacturing/shop-floor teams in North America and coordinate with project and engineering managers.
- Participate in technical reviews and support problem-solving during project execution.

Required Skills and Experience

- Solid fundamentals in Electrical Engineering and power distribution systems.
- 2–5 years of experience in the design or manufacturing of electrical distribution equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, schematics, and elevation drawings.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to work remotely with multicultural teams and support flexible working hours aligned with US shop-floor requirements.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in LV switchboard/switchgear design, application, or installation.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with protective relays and their functions.
- Knowledge of UL 1558 and UL 891 standards is an added advantage.
