INDSAFE is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Consultant to support industrial electrical safety projects through engineering assessments, safety audits, and hazard analysis. The role offers an prospect to work on electrical risk assessment, arc flash hazard analysis, and lightning protection system design across industrial facilities. The selected candidate will work closely with internal engineering teams and clients to identify electrical hazards, recommend appropriate risk-control measures, and support compliance with applicable electrical safety standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical safety audits and electrical risk assessments at industrial facilities.
- Perform arc flash hazard analysis to evaluate electrical hazards and support the development of appropriate mitigation measures.
- Assist in the design and assessment of Lightning Protection Systems (LPS).
- Identify electrical safety gaps and recommend practical corrective and preventive measures.
- Support technical assessments, engineering documentation, and the preparation of reports and recommendations.
- Assist clients in implementing electrical safety improvements and addressing identified compliance gaps. Coordinate with clients, project teams, and other engineering disciplines to ensure effective project execution.
- Ensure that engineering assessments and recommendations align with applicable electrical safety standards, codes, and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 3-10 years of relevant experience in electrical safety engineering or industrial electrical safety.
- Strong understanding of electrical risk assessment methodologies and electrical safety audits.
- Practical experience in arc flash hazard analysis.
- Working knowledge of Lightning Protection System (LPS) design and assessment.
- Familiarity with applicable electrical safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong technical report-writing, communication, and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel to industrial client sites as required.
