We are looking for an experienced DevOps Team Lead with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience to lead our DevOps initiatives, streamline software delivery, and ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of our infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical expertise, proven problem-solving abilities, and the leadership skills required to guide a team, drive automation, optimise deployment processes, and establish reliable DevOps practices across development and production environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevOps Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and support the DevOps team, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to align infrastructure and deployment strategies with business requirements.
- Define and implement DevOps standards, workflows, and best practices.
- Plan and prioritise DevOps activities, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure timely delivery of infrastructure-related tasks.

CI/CD and Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application builds, testing, releases, and deployments.
- Improve release management processes to enable faster, safer, and more consistent software delivery.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
- Integrate automated quality checks and security controls into delivery pipelines.

Cloud Infrastructure and Containerisation
- Design, provision, manage, and optimise cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Manage containerised applications using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.




- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent technologies.
- Ensure infrastructure scalability, availability, fault tolerance, and efficient resource utilisation.

Monitoring, Security, and Reliability
- Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response processes.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and resolve infrastructure and application deployment issues.
- Implement security best practices for infrastructure access, secrets management, network configuration, and system hardening.
- Develop backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
- Support vulnerability management, patching, and infrastructure compliance requirements.

Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate new DevOps tools, technologies, and practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to reduce deployment time, minimise downtime, and optimise cloud infrastructure costs.
- Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, infrastructure diagrams, and operational guidelines.
- Track operational metrics and use them to improve system reliability and delivery performance.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Practical experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and automated provisioning.
- Proficiency in Bash, Python,



or other scripting languages for automation.
- Good understanding of Linux system administration, networking, DNS, firewalls, and system troubleshooting.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident management tools.
- Understanding of cloud security, access control, secrets management, and infrastructure hardening.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to lead a team, manage priorities, and take ownership of technical outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a DevOps Lead, Senior DevOps Engineer, or in a similar technical leadership role.
- Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications.
- Experience managing production environments for enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows, release management, and automated testing practices.
- Experience with high-availability architecture, disaster recovery, and cloud cost optimisation.
