Role summary Experience: 3–6 years

Employment: Full time We are hiring a DevOps Engineer to build, deploy, upgrade and run our Cloudera big data platform (Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Hive, Phoenix). You will also own application deployments on Tomcat, JBoss, Apache HTTP Server and support MySQL databases, keeping the platform stable, secure and up to date.

Key responsibilities

Cloudera platform setup and upgrades

- Install, configure and scale Cloudera clusters (CDP Private Cloud Base) using Cloudera Manager.
- Plan and execute CDP-to-CDP major upgrades and patches, including pre-checks, backups, rolling upgrades, validation and rollback plans.
- Configure and tune HDFS, YARN, HBase, Spark, Hive and Phoenix for performance, capacity and high availability.
- Set up platform security: Kerberos, Ranger, TLS/SSL and LDAP/AD integration.
- Monitor cluster health, troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis; manage capacity and node commissioning/decommissioning.

Build, deployment and middleware

- Own application builds and deployments to JBoss / WildFly: releases, configuration, clustering and rollbacks.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar) for applications and Spark jobs.



Manage JFrog Artifactory: repositories, build artifacts, access control, retention and upgrades. Administer MySQL: installation, replication, backup/restore, upgrades and performance tuning.

Automation and operations

- Automate provisioning and configuration with Ansible, shell and Python scripts.
- Maintain runbooks, upgrade plans and environment documentation; take part in an oncall rotation.

Required skills

Area Must have

Cloudera Hands-on Cloudera Manager; at least one end-toend cluster build and one CDP major upgrade

Big data stack. Hadoop (HDFS, YARN), HBase, Spark, Hive, Phoenix, ZooKeeper: administration and tuning

Security Kerberos, Ranger, TLS/SSL, LDAP/AD

Middleware JBoss / WildFly deployment and administration

Database MySQL administration, replication and backups

OS and scripting Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration; Bash and Python

DevOps tooling Ansible, Git, Jenkins or GitLab CI, JFrog Artifactory

Nice to have

- Cloudera certification (CDP Administrator / CCA Administrator).
- Monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana or ELK; exposure to Docker/Kubernetes
