Piyush Rotomac is a rotational mould manufacturing company with decades of experience in designing and manufacturing customised moulds for customers across industries and international markets.

We are looking for a Design & Development Engineer who can translate customer requirements into accurate 3D models, CAD drawings and production-ready mould designs. The role involves working closely with our manufacturing team to develop new moulds, improve existing designs and ensure that designs are practical to manufacture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create detailed 3D models, CAD designs and 2D manufacturing drawings for rotational moulds.
- Develop recent mould designs based on customer drawings, samples, specifications and application requirements.
- Prepare assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, dimensions, tolerances and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, machining and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
- Develop and modify mould designs to improve manufacturability, performance and cost efficiency.
- Review engineering drawings, identify potential design issues and incorporate necessary changes.
- Support prototype development, mould trials, troubleshooting and design validation.
- Maintain organised CAD files, drawing revisions and engineering documentation.




- Work with the sales and technical teams to understand customer requirements and convert them into engineering solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in mechanical design, CAD modelling, tooling, mould design or product development.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T;, dimensions, tolerances and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret customer drawings and develop practical, production-ready designs.
- Understanding of sheet-metal fabrication, bending, welding, machining and assembly will be an advantage.
- Experience in rotational mould design or tooling development will be preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
