Company Description:
Aircom Group is a Swiss-headquartered automotive technology company employing more than 1,150 people worldwide, including a global R&D; organisation of approximately 90 engineers. We develop and manufacture tyre mobility solutions, air suspension systems and decorative automotive components for leading international vehicle manufacturers. With production operations in Poland, China and Mexico, Aircom is now establishing its India headquarters and new manufacturing facility in Vadodara—combining the engineering depth and stability of an established global Group with the opportunity to build a growing local business.
You will build and lead the finance function across Aircom’s Indian entities, including the 2027 production ramp-up and local sourcing programme. The business aims to scale towards approximately INR 800 crore in annual revenue and 450 employees within five years. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct exposure to the Global CFO and a structured transition towards end-to-end India finance ownership.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI).
• Relevant depth: Typically 8+ years in Finance & Accounts, including at least 5 years of hands-on manufacturing/plant finance. Impact matters more than a rigid upper experience limit.
• Leadership and judgment: Proven ownership of closing, costing, controls and cross-functional decisions; experience leading people or substantial transformation work.
• ERP and international exposure: Robust experience with a major integrated ERP (for example SAP, Oracle or Dynamics 365); international Group reporting and ERP implementation experience are valuable. Dynamics 365 is preferred, not mandatory.
WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT
• Build, do not merely maintain. Shape financial controls, plant costing, reporting and the team at an early stage.
• Global decision-making access.
Work directly with Group Finance and closely with local Plant, Purchasing and Commercial leaders.
• Real progression prospect. Develop towards the senior-most finance role in India, subject to performance and organisational requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
• Controllership and reporting: GL, AP/AR, inventory, fixed assets, intercompany, statutory accounts, reconciliations and a reliable Group month-end close (target WD+5 after stabilisation).
• Plant finance and business partnering: Standard/actual product costing, BOM and routing economics, PPV, scrap, freight, WIP, inventory, CapEx and make-or-buy analysis for production and localisation.
• Cash and treasury: Weekly liquidity visibility, 13-week rolling cash forecast, working capital, banking, FX exposure and financial controls.
• Indian statutory compliance: Coordinate GST, TDS, direct tax, transfer pricing, FEMA/RBI, statutory audit, company-secretarial matters and incentive claims, with external tax, legal and secretarial specialists where needed.
• Systems and governance: Design standardised finance processes and control ownership; represent India Finance in the Group’s planned Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformation, including fit-gap analysis, testing and change management.
• People and scalability: Manage outsourced accounting partners, recruit and coach a local finance team, and evaluate future shared-service activities only when processes and the business case justify them.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
• First 90 days: Agree the finance transition plan; establish a 13-week cash forecast, monthly reporting calendar and priority control actions.
• First 6 months: Put robust inventory, CapEx and manufacturing-cost controls in place for plant ramp-up; clarify in-house versus outsourced ownership.
• First 12–18 months: Lead an orderly transfer of day-to-day finance accountability, strengthen the team and improve closing quality, forecasting and cost transparency.
