Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Dell PowerFlex / VMware Administrator to support an enterprise managed-services setting. The engineer will be responsible for day-to-day administration, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and production support of VMware vSphere/VCF running on Dell PowerFlex HCI.
The organization migrated from Cisco HyperFlex to Dell PowerFlex approximately two years ago, and the selected candidate will take ownership of the existing PowerFlex/VMware infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Dell PowerFlex HCI and VMware vSphere/VCF environments.
- Perform day-to-day infrastructure operations in a 24×7 production environment.
- Handle configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot complex VMware, PowerFlex, virtualization, storage, and HCI issues.
- Support infrastructure implementation, new-site onboarding, configuration, and go-live activities.
- Participate in new deployments using standardized infrastructure architecture.
- Work closely with infrastructure and managed-services teams.
- Provide hands-on production support rather than primarily monitoring or coordination.
- Support implementation/infrastructure deployment activities and, where applicable, technical bidding activities.
Required Skills
- 6+ years of experience in VMware/infrastructure administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Dell PowerFlex.
- Strong VMware vSphere / VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) administration experience.
- Experience running VMware on Dell PowerFlex HCI.
- Enterprise infrastructure implementation and deployment experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and production-support capabilities.
- Experience working in a 24×7 managed-services environment.
- Willingness to work 3 days/week from Pune office.
Preferred / Advantage
- Experience with Cisco HyperFlex → Dell PowerFlex migration.
- Experience with infrastructure implementation, deployment, and go-live.
- Experience with technical solutioning/bidding activities.
