Role Description The Director of Engineering at PMGlide is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for partial work from home. This position oversees engineering teams, setting technical direction, guiding architecture, and ensuring high-quality delivery of AI-powered project management products. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and mentoring engineering managers and developers, prioritizing and planning projects, and collaborating with product, design, and customer success to align technical solutions with business goals.

The Director of Engineering will drive software development best practices, code quality standards, and integration strategies across the platform.



The role also involves capacity planning, hiring, performance management, and fostering a culture of innovation, security, and reliability within the engineering organization.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Engineering Management and Team Leadership, including mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional teams.
- Robust background in Software Development, with hands-on experience in modern languages, frameworks, and cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, prioritization, stakeholder communication, and delivery of complex technical initiatives.
- Experience with system and API Integration, designing scalable, secure, and reliable integrations between platforms and third-party tools.
- Proven ability to define technical strategy, drive architectural decisions, and implement engineering best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across product, business, and customer-facing teams.
- Prior experience leading engineering organizations in SaaS, AI, or enterprise software environments is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
