As demand for our services grows globally, we are seeking a highly experienced Statistical Modeler to work remotely on a casual/temp basis. We are open to hiring candidates from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Egypt, and Vietnam.

Responsbilities

Build and maintain reports and dashboards for our clients, ensuring our internal and external client teams have access to timely, reliable data insights for better-informed decision-making, and help the internal quantitative research team to monitor data quality and flag inconsistencies, anomalies, or potential issues.

Assist in tracking our clients' backend KPIs they use to run their business and, as part of our service, help them maintain and improve recurring operating and performance reports.

Prepare document queries, reports, and data definitions to support transparency and reproducibility, and collaborate with senior team members to ensure data correctness and completeness.





Provide support functions, including ongoing and regular support and ad hoc analyses, to help answer key business and operational questions.

You will work alongside other data scientists, data analysts, and the broader SunX LLC team, including contractors such as economists, econometricians, mathematicians, and statisticians.

Background & Experience The required minimum qualification is a bachelor's degree in data analytics, mathematics, statistics, or computer science.

Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences internally and externally.

A strong, collaborative, disciplined mindset that combines superior analytical and communication skills to frame ambiguous problems with stakeholders.

High proficiency in SQL and the ability to write basic queries to extract and analyze data, with a commitment to triple-checking work before sharing, working with multiple data sources or messy datasets.

Experience using Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets for data analysis and manipulation, including joins, filtering, aggregations, and troubleshooting basic query issues, along with experience writing summaries, business insights, or dashboard narratives.

Robust attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, plus strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a drive to learn and grow in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment with interest in developing toward a senior BI, analytics, or data storytelling role.





Preferred

3-5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, operations analytics, cybersecurity analytics, business analytics, or a related role.

Experience building dashboards or reports in Tableau, Power BI, Domo, Looker, or a similar BI platform.

Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, data cleaning, and basic analysis.

Highly desirable: experience with Python for data cleaning, analysis, validation, or automation and familiarity with Databricks, Databricks SQL, notebooks, data lakes, or cloud analytics platforms together with exposure to Cyber Security, risk, compliance, technology operations, incident management, change management, vulnerability management, or IT operations.
