## Role Overview in detail:

We are looking for a senior, entrepreneurial investment professional to work closely with the Founder in establishing and scaling an independent, advisory-led Multi-Family Office (MFO) serving HNI/UHNI individuals, promoter families and entrepreneurs.

The role combines investment analysis, wealth advisory, portfolio construction, family financial planning, stakeholder management and team leadership. The professional will help build robust investment processes, deliver customised wealth solutions and progressively take ownership of the MFO's investment function, client relationships and growth.

This is an advisory-led role focused on wealth preservation, long-term growth and intergenerational wealth planning, rather than product distribution or sales-led wealth management.

## Key Responsibilities

### 1. Family Financial Analysis & Wealth Advisory

Conduct comprehensive financial assessments of families, covering assets, liabilities, investments, business interests, cash flows and liquidity requirements.

Prepare consolidated net-worth statements, wealth dashboards and periodic portfolio reviews.

- Understand client objectives, risk appetite, investment horizons and wealth preservation requirements to develop customised advisory solutions.

### 2. Investment Strategy & Portfolio Construction

Draft and review Investment Policy Statements (IPS), including investment objectives, risk parameters, liquidity needs and strategic asset allocation.

Design and monitor customised investment portfolios aligned with family-specific financial goals.

Evaluate portfolio performance, risk exposure, concentration, diversification, costs and suitability.

Independently assess and challenge investment recommendations from external fund managers and wealth management partners.

### 3. Investment Research & Due Diligence

Evaluate opportunities across Mutual Funds, PMS, AIFs, Fixed Income, Global Funds, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Angel Investments, Pre-IPO/Unlisted Investments, Real Estate Funds and other alternative assets.

Assess investment opportunities based on risk-return profiles, valuation, liquidity, portfolio fit and long-term wealth objectives.

Maintain strong knowledge of Indian and global fund houses, investment managers and wealth management platforms.

Develop structured investment research, due-diligence frameworks and portfolio monitoring processes.

### 4. Family Office & Wealth Structuring

Coordinate with tax advisors, legal experts, banks and investment managers on taxation, trusts, ownership structures and estate planning.

Support succession planning, family governance, philanthropy, CSR and legacy planning.

- Coordinate execution of family wealth requirements while maintaining confidentiality and aligning stakeholders.

### 5. Leadership & Business Execution

Build, lead and mentor teams across investments, research, analytics, operations and client servicing.

Establish scalable investment processes, reporting systems and technology-enabled dashboards.

Drive accountability, decision-making, delegation and execution across internal teams and external partners.

Build trusted relationships with promoter families and manage complex client interactions with maturity and discretion.

- Translate the Founder’s strategic priorities into actionable plans and progressively assume greater responsibility for the MFO’s investment function and growth.

## Must-Have Skills & Experience

Qualification: CA, CFA or MBA (Finance) is mandatory.

Relevant Experience: 8–10+ years of directly relevant experience, with 10–15+ years preferred.

Wealth Advisory Background: Prior experience in a Wealth Advisory Firm is mandatory.

Relevant Domain:

Experience in Family Office, Multi-Family Office, Wealth Management, Private Banking, Investment Management or a closely related environment.

HNI/UHNI Background: Hands-on experience managing or advising HNI/UHNI or promoter-family portfolios.

Portfolio Expertise: Strong understanding of asset allocation, portfolio construction, investment analysis and portfolio monitoring.

Investment Knowledge: Understanding of traditional and alternative investments, including Mutual Funds, PMS, AIFs, Fixed Income, Global Funds, Private Equity and other relevant asset classes.

IPS & Financial Analysis: Experience in financial analysis, net-worth assessment, liquidity planning, Investment Policy Statements and customised portfolio design.

Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian and global fund houses, investment managers and wealth management strategies.

Personal Attributes: High integrity, discretion, confidentiality, ownership mindset and the ability to work closely with senior leadership.

- Mobility: Must be willing to relocate to Chennai and work from the office six days a week, with the 2nd and 4th Saturdays off.

## Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience building or scaling a Family Office or Multi-Family Office.

Prior exposure to estate planning, succession planning, trusts, family governance and intergenerational wealth transfer.

Experience evaluating Private Equity, VC, Angel Investments, Pre-IPO opportunities and other alternative investments.

Experience developing investment governance frameworks, due-diligence processes, portfolio reporting systems and wealth dashboards.

Demonstrated team leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management and client relationship capabilities.

Entrepreneurial experience in building investment functions, managing cross-functional teams or developing new advisory capabilities.

## Interview Process

Round 1: Virtual interview

Round 2: In-person interview at the Chennai office

## Important Considerations

Candidates from sales-led, marketing-led or customer-service-focused backgrounds without substantial investment advisory experience will not be suitable.

This position requires genuine investment and wealth advisory expertise, rather than a primarily client acquisition or product distribution profile.

- Willingness to relocate to Chennai and comply with the specified work-from-office schedule is essential.
