Role Summary The CFO leads the finance function and is responsible for financial planning, accounting, compliance, treasury and reporting. The CFO will advise management on financial strategy for the company’s shipping, port, customs clearing and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee accounts, finance, taxation, audit and treasury functions.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and MIS reports, and monitor performance against them.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships and credit facilities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements: GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act and other applicable laws.
- Coordinate statutory, internal and external audits, and ensure timely closure of observations.
- Present financial statements, insights and risk assessments to the management team.
- Review costing, pricing and profitability across business verticals (port operations, CHA, freight forwarding, warehousing).




- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting policies.
- Support the company’s ISO 9001:2015 and AEO compliance requirements for the finance function.
- Guide, mentor and review the work of the Finance & Accounts team.
- Support management in investment decisions, cost optimisation and business expansion plans.

Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified CA / CMA.
- 10-15 years of experience in a reputed organization or CA firm.
- Preference for candidates from the shipping / logistics industry.
- Age: not above 55 years.

Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation and corporate and financial laws.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, decision-making and leadership skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Integrity and the ability to work independently.
