We are looking for a Spiritual Product Formulations & Research Intern with a chemistry background to evaluate ingredient safety, research clean formulations, and guide our product development.

Role Overview In this role, you will bridge chemistry, regulatory standards, and clean-label research to ensure our aromatic and body-applied spiritual products are safe, sustainable, and high quality. You will research natural vs. synthetic compounds, analyze chemical safety profiles, evaluate third-party certifications, and provide science-backed advice on product formulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Ingredient Analysis & Safety Research: THROUGH the books, already done researches
- Research chemical constituents, purity levels, and safety profiles of aromatic ingredients (e.g., essential oils, resin extracts, plant carrier oils, natural incense binders, charcoal-free bases).
- Evaluate potential skin irritants, allergens, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), phthalates, synthetic fixatives, and heavy metals in traditional and modern formulations.
- Clean Formulation Advisory:
- Advise the product development team on formulation stability, shelf life, carrier oil compatibility, and natural preservation techniques for body oils, roll-ons, and balms.
- Compare natural extraction methods (steam distillation, cold pressing, solvent-free CO2 extraction) versus synthetic fragrance substitutes to ensure product authenticity and safety.
- Certifications & Compliance Research:




- Map out relevant industry standards and third-party certifications suitable for clean spiritual products (e.g., Organic/USDA Organic, Cruelty-Free/Leaping Bunny, IFRA compliance for fragrance compounds, EcoCert, Non-GMO).
- Compile technical dossiers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and ingredient checklists for manufacturers and suppliers.
- Supplier & Raw Material Vetting:
- Review Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) reports from suppliers to verify purity and authentic origin.
- Benchmarking competitors’ ingredients and formulations to position our brand as a benchmark in clean spiritual care.

What We Are Looking For

- Educational Background: Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or Herbal/Aromatic Sciences.
- Clean Beauty & Formulation Interest: Deep interest in clean formulations, essential oil chemistry, natural fragrances, and non-toxic personal care products.
- Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Ability to read and interpret GC-MS reports, safety regulations (IFRA, ISO standards), and scientific papers on plant extracts and VOC emissions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to translate technical chemical data into clear actionable recommendations for the brand's product team.
