Role Description The Category Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhopal, responsible for overseeing and optimizing specific product categories within Katyayani Organics’ agrochemical portfolio. The role includes analyzing category performance, market trends, and customer needs to develop data-driven category strategies and pricing plans.

The Category

Manager collaborates with procurement teams to source products, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure competitive cost structures. Daily tasks also involve coordinating with sales and marketing teams on promotions, monitoring inventory levels,



and identifying opportunities to expand or refine the product mix. The role requires regular reporting on category performance and proactive initiatives to improve profitability, customer satisfaction, and market share.

Qualifications

- Solid category management skills, including portfolio planning, pricing, and lifecycle management.
- Advanced analytical skills for market research, demand forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Experience in procurement and contract negotiation, with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Sales-oriented mindset, with skills in collaboration with sales teams and support for go-to-market activities.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Business, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience in agrochemicals, agriculture, or FMCG categories is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other analytical or ERP tools for category and inventory management.
