Business Development Intern

Employment Type: InternshipExperience: Freshers / Students / Early-career candidatesLocation: Remote

Role Overview

At Avryxa, we help businesses build and improve their technology through web development, custom software, SaaS development, and other IT services.

We are looking for a Business Development Intern who wants to learn how real-world B2B business development works.

This is a hands-on role focused on finding the right companies, researching decision-makers, identifying business opportunities, starting conversations, and helping turn qualified prospects into potential clients.

You don't need to have prior sales experience or know every prospecting tool. We will train you. What matters more is your willingness to learn, attention to detail, consistency, ownership, and ability to execute.

What You'll DoLead Generation & Prospecting

- Research and identify businesses that may need web development, SaaS development, custom software, or other IT services.
- Build targeted prospect lists based on industry, company size, geography, technology needs, and relevant business signals.
- Use tools such as Clay and Apollo for prospecting, contact discovery, research, and lead enrichment.
- Explore unconventional and publicly available sources such as Google Maps, business directories, industry directories, company websites, marketplaces, and other databases to discover potential prospects.
- Experiment with new and creative ways to find qualified leads.

Lead Research & Enrichment

- Research companies and relevant decision-makers.
- Identify founders, CEOs, CTOs, technical leaders, product leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Enrich and verify prospect information before adding it to the prospecting database or CRM.
- Look for signals such as outdated websites, technology gaps, new products, expansion, funding, hiring, or other indicators of potential technology needs.
- Maintain accurate and useful research notes for every prospect.

Lead Qualification

- Learn and apply structured approaches to determine whether a prospect is a valuable fit for Avryxa.
- Evaluate factors such as business need, company profile, decision-maker relevance, potential project fit, urgency, and budget potential.
- Separate relevant opportunities from low-quality or irrelevant leads.
- Clearly document qualification findings and recommended next steps.

Client Outreach & Communication

- Reach out to potential clients through appropriate channels such as email, LinkedIn, phone, and other professional channels.
- Start conversations with prospects and understand their business or technology requirements.
- Communicate Avryxa's services clearly and professionally.
- Participate in initial discovery conversations when appropriate.
- Identify genuine opportunities and schedule qualified meetings or hand them off to the appropriate Avryxa team member.
- Follow up consistently while keeping communication professional and respectful.

Pipeline & Data Management

- Maintain accurate prospect and lead records.
- Track outreach, responses, follow-ups, qualification status, and next steps.
- Keep prospecting databases and CRM information organized and up to date.

- Ensure that information entered into the system is accurate rather than simply increasing the number of leads.

Learning & Ownership

- Learn Avryxa's services, ideal customer profiles, sales process, prospecting tools, and qualification methods.
- Take ownership of assigned targets and responsibilities.
- Identify problems independently and look for practical solutions.
- Test new prospecting approaches and learn from the results.
- Continuously improve the quality and efficiency of your work.

Qualifications

- Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) degree.
- Interest in business development, sales, technology, startups, SaaS, or IT services.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable researching companies and people online.
- Willingness to learn outbound sales and lead-generation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Organized and capable of maintaining accurate prospect information.
- Comfortable reaching out to people you have not interacted with before.
- Proactive approach to work rather than waiting for instructions for every task.
- No prior professional sales experience is required.

Nice to Have

These are advantages, but not requirements:

- Familiarity with Clay.
- Familiarity with Apollo.
- Experience with LinkedIn prospecting.
- Experience using Google Maps or public business directories for research.
- Basic understanding of B2B sales.
- Understanding of ICPs and buyer personas.
- Familiarity with lead qualification frameworks.
- Experience using a CRM.
- Previous internship, academic project, or personal project involving sales, marketing, research, or business development.

What We Look For

We care more about how you work and how quickly you learn than whether you already know a particular sales tool.

We're looking for someone who demonstrates:

- Ownership — You take responsibility for your work instead of waiting to be reminded.
- Curiosity — You naturally want to understand how businesses work and why a prospect might need something.
- Attention to detail — You verify information rather than blindly adding leads to a list.
- Consistency — You can execute repetitive but important work without losing quality.
- Learning ability — You can learn a new tool, process, or concept and apply it independently.
- Communication — You can communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully.
- Initiative — You look for opportunities and solutions instead of waiting for someone to tell you what to do.
- Creativity — You can follow a process while also thinking of better ways to find prospects.
- Accountability — You take responsibility for the quality and outcome of your assigned work.

You don't need to know everything on day one. You do need to be willing to learn, execute, and improve.

Training & Learning

You will receive guidance on:

- Avryxa's technology services and offerings.
- Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) and buyer personas.
- Prospect research and lead generation.
- Clay and Apollo.
- Lead enrichment and data verification.
- B2B outbound prospecting.
- Outreach and follow-up.
- Lead qualification.
- CRM and pipeline management.
- Identifying technology and business signals.
- Building a repeatable prospecting process.

The goal is not simply to teach you how to use a few tools. You'll learn how to think about finding the right customer and identifying a genuine business opportunity.

Internship & Stipend Structure The first 60 days will be an evaluation and training period. During this period, the focus will be on learning Avryxa's processes, understanding B2B business development, developing prospecting skills, and demonstrating consistency, ownership, and execution.

- First 60 days: Unpaid probation and evaluation period. No stipend will be provided during this period.
- After successful completion of the 60-day probation and training period: The internship will move to a paid stipend of ₹5,000 per month.
- Continuation into the paid phase will be based on performance, learning ability, consistency, ownership, and successful completion of the training/evaluation requirements.

The first 60 days are intended to be a mutual evaluation period, giving you an opportunity to learn the role and understand Avryxa, while giving us an opportunity to evaluate your potential and performance.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this internship means progressively becoming someone who can independently:

- Generate relevant and qualified leads.
- Build accurate, well-researched prospect lists.
- Identify the right decision-makers.
- Recognize potential business and technology opportunities.
- Start meaningful conversations with prospects.
- Book qualified meetings.
- Maintain accurate prospecting and pipeline data.
- Improve lead quality over time.
- Experiment with new lead-generation channels and methods.
- Take increasing ownership of the prospecting and qualification process.

Why Join Avryxa

This is an opportunity to learn real-world B2B business development inside a technology company.

Instead of spending your internship only making calls or performing repetitive sales-support tasks, you'll get exposure to the complete early-stage business development process — from finding a potential client and researching their business to qualifying the opportunity and starting a conversation.

You'll work closely with a technology-services environment and develop practical skills in prospecting, research, outbound strategy, sales qualification, communication, and client acquisition.

At Avryxa, we value ownership over excuses, learning over pretending to know everything, and consistent execution over empty activity.

Interested?

If you're a student or fresher who is curious about business, technology, and sales and wants to learn how companies actually acquire B2B clients, we'd like to hear from you.

Apply for the Business Development Intern position at Avryxa and tell us why you think you'd be a good fit.
