Role Description The Bodyshop Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based at GMDC workshop Ahmedabad, responsible for coordinating and managing vehicle body repairs and related services. This role includes greeting customers, understanding repair requirements, preparing accurate repair estimates, and explaining work scope, timelines, and costs in a clear and transparent manner.

The Bodyshop

Advisor will liaise between customers, technicians, insurance representatives, and other internal teams to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality repair standards. Day-to-day tasks involve updating customers on repair status, managing job cards, verifying parts availability, ensuring adherence to manufacturer and safety guidelines, and supporting the timely delivery of vehicles. The role also includes maintaining service records,



promoting customer satisfaction, handling queries or complaints professionally, and supporting dealership initiatives to improve bodyshop performance.

Qualifications

- Experience in bodyshop operations or automotive service advisory, including vehicle inspection, repair estimation, and coordination with workshop teams.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in simple, understandable terms and build long-term customer relationships.
- Basic knowledge of automotive body repair processes, paintwork, parts, and insurance claim procedures, preferably within a dealership environment.
- Proficiency in using dealership or workshop management software, MS Office tools, and maintaining accurate documentation and records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, in office environment, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and collaborate effectively with technicians and other departments.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.
- Relevant education in automotive, mechanical, or a related field; prior experience with Hyundai or other OEM dealerships is an added advantage.
- Comfortable working standard full-time dealership hours and willing to participate in periodic training and development programs.
