Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced mechanical maintenance professional to manage central mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring high equipment availability, operational reliability, workplace safety, and optimum maintenance costs.

The role involves maintaining common utilities and pollution-control equipment, including ESPs, bag filters, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, DG and utility systems, pipelines, valves, fans, blowers, and other associated mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead central mechanical maintenance activities for utility systems and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize unplanned downtime.




- Plan and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Breakdown Maintenance.
- Prepare and execute annual, monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance schedules.
- Monitor equipment performance through MTBF, MTTR, availability, and maintenance cost analysis.
- Investigate recurring breakdowns and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, Projects, Safety, and Quality departments.
- Ensure effective manpower deployment based on equipment criticality and maintenance requirements.
- Review maintenance performance and drive continuous improvement through regular review meetings.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in steel plants or heavy industries.
- Practical knowledge of utility systems, pollution-control equipment, and industrial mechanical maintenance.
- Solid problem-solving, coordination, planning, and team-management skills.
