As an Assistant Manager – Supply Chain Management (SCM) at GreyOrange, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing 3P Supplier relationships and procurement operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Business teams to drive supplier performance, improve procurement processes, manage costs, and ensure timely availability of materials and services.

You will be responsible for analyzing supply chain data, identifying opportunities for process improvement, driving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic initiatives that contribute to overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and develop relationships with 3P Suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, delivery, and service-level expectations.
- Drive supplier performance monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze procurement and supply chain data to identify cost-saving and process optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve procurement planning, supplier management, inventory availability, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and Support supplier onboarding, evaluation, negotiations, performance reviews, and periodic assessments.
- Develop and track key SCM KPIs, dashboards, and performance reports.
- Support SCM process improvement, digitization, and automation initiatives.
- Prepare management reports and provide data-driven insights to support business decisions.

Skills Required





- 8-10 years of overall experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sourcing, Vendor Management, or related functions.
- 3+ years of experience in supplier/vendor management, procurement, sourcing, or strategic procurement.
- Strong knowledge of SCM principles, procurement processes, sourcing, inventory management, and supplier lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within defined timelines.
- Experience leading or contributing to process improvement, cost-reduction, and automation initiatives.
- Ability to take ownership of team-level deliverables.

Industry Skills

- Strong understanding of 3P/third-party supplier management and supplier lifecycle processes.
- Hands-on experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, RFQ/RFP processes, and supplier selection.
- Experience in supplier negotiation and commercial management, including price, payment terms, lead times, MOQ, and contractual terms.
- Robust understanding of Should-Cost Analysis, Cost Breakdown Analysis, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).




- Experience driving cost optimization, value engineering, and supplier cost-reduction initiatives.
- Knowledge of Supplier Performance Management (SPM) using KPIs such as:
- On-Time Delivery (OTD)
- Lead Time
- Cost Variance
- Supplier SLA adherence

- Experience working with BOM, SKU, material master, purchase orders, GRN, invoices, and procurement cycles.
- Understanding of MOQ, EOQ, lead time, reorder point, safety stock, and inventory turns.
- Exposure to new product introduction (NPI), engineering changes, and supplier development is preferred.
- Experience working with manufacturing, robotics, automation, electronics, mechanical components, or technology-driven supply chains is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of import/export, logistics, freight, and international supplier management is an added advantage.

Tools & Technical Skills

- ERP/SCM Systems: 3+ years of experience with SAP SCM/SAP MM, Oracle SCM, or equivalent.
- Project Management: JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, or Business Management is preferred.
- Experience in robotics, automation, manufacturing, e-commerce, warehouse automation, electronics, or technology is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and supplier performance management.
