Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Arc Welder role based in Coimbatore.

The Arc

Welder will perform welding operations on various components and structures using arc welding techniques, following engineering drawings, welding procedures, and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing materials and work surfaces, setting up welding equipment, executing welds to specified quality requirements, and inspecting finished welds for accuracy and structural integrity. The role involves collaborating with supervisors and other technicians to meet project timelines, maintaining tools and equipment in safe working condition, and adhering to all workplace health and safety regulations.

The Arc





Welder may also support other welding processes when needed and assist in continuous improvement of fabrication and repair methods.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Arc Welding and general Welding skills, with the ability to work on a range of structures and components.
- Candidates should possess TIG Welding and MIG Welding skills for working with different materials and joint configurations as project requirements demand.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Materials relevant to welding, including properties of metals, thicknesses, and appropriate filler materials and electrodes.
- Relevant experience in industrial, mechanical, or fabrication environments, preferably in electro-mechanical or marine/offshore projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions, with solid attention to detail and quality standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety practices, including use of PPE, safe equipment handling, and compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
- Physical ability to perform manual work, including standing for extended periods, handling welding equipment, and working in varied site conditions.
- Vocational training, certification, or apprenticeship in welding or a related mechanical trade is highly beneficial.
