Profile: Accountant

Experience

- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as an Accountant (not a junior-level profile)
- Experience in end-to-end accounting using Tally

Roles:
- Maintain day-to-day accounts and book entries in Tally (sales, purchase, payment, receipt, journal)
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and customer reconciliation
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements
- Prepare GST data and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and assist with reconciliation (GSTR-2B)
- Calculate and deposit TDS and file TDS returns
- Maintain ledgers, trial balance and monthly MIS reports
- Support in preparing the profit & loss account and balance sheet
- Coordinate with the CA or auditors for audit and compliance
- Maintain expense records, petty cash and supporting documents
- Follow up on outstanding payments and report on accounts to management

Qualification:
- B.Com / M.Com (a commerce graduate is mandatory)
- Additional certification in Tally or accounting is an advantage
