Description

We are seeking SAP HCM and SAP SuccessFactors Test Consultants to support end-to-end quality assurance for HR and payroll solutions. The consultant will design, execute, and manage functional, integration, interface, regression, and user acceptance testing across SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, third-party applications, and downstream systems. The role requires strong testing discipline, practical payroll knowledge, and effective collaboration with business, functional, technical, integration, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business requirements, process flows, functional specifications, user stories, and interface designs to identify test coverage.
- Prepare and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, traceability matrices, and execution evidence.
- Execute functional, system, integration, interface, end-to-end, regression, and user acceptance testing for SAP HCM and SuccessFactors solutions.
- Validate inbound and outbound interfaces, file transfers, middleware processing, data mappings, transformations, error handling, and reconciliation with third-party or downstream systems.
- Test payroll-related business processes and outputs, including master data impacts, wage types, deductions, earnings, time inputs, payroll calculations, and result validation, as applicable to the project.
- Log, prioritize, track, and retest defects; provide clear reproduction steps, evidence, business impact, and status updates.
- Use test management and defect tracking tools such as ALM, Jira, or qTest to manage test assets, execution progress, requirements coverage, and defect lifecycle.




- Participate in requirement reviews, test case walkthroughs, daily status calls, defect triage meetings, and release readiness discussions.
- Coordinate with business SMEs, SAP functional teams, integration teams, developers, middleware teams, and external vendors to resolve issues and close testing dependencies.
- Prepare test execution dashboards, defect reports, daily or weekly status updates, risk and issue summaries, and test completion reports.
- Support test environment readiness, test data preparation, cutover validation, and post-go-live verification when required.
- Follow established quality processes, testing standards, documentation guidelines, and project governance requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

- Hands-on testing experience in SAP HCM and/or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Experience in one or more SAP HCM areas such as Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Time Management, Benefits, or Payroll.
- Experience in one or more SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Time Off, Learning, Performance & Goals, or Employee Central Payroll.
- Practical experience in interface and integration testing, including validation of inbound/outbound files, data mappings,



middleware flows, interfaces, reports, and downstream data movement.
- Positive understanding of payroll concepts and the ability to validate payroll-related scenarios and results.
- Strong experience across the Software Testing Life Cycle, including test planning, test design, test execution, defect management, reporting, and closure.
- Ability to create clear, detailed, and reusable test scenarios and test cases from available requirements and process documentation.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and within distributed, cross-functional teams in Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models.
