4+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production
- Strong proficiency in Python (or a similar backend language) and backend engineering
fundamentals
- Experience designing and building REST APIs and service-oriented systems
- Solid understanding of system design, API design, and data modeling
- Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and performance considerations
- Hands-on experience debugging complex production issues
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deployment workflows
- Ability to work with ambiguous problem statements and drive them to explicit technical
execution
- Strong ownership mindset and high engineering judgment
