Data Engineer – C2C Contract

Mandatory Skills and Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- 4+ years of hands-on SQL Server development and performance tuning
- 3+ years of Python-based data engineering
- 3+ years of PostgreSQL
- Strong experience in ETL/ELT pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow
- Experience with large-volume datasets
- Experience in data migration, transformation, validation and reconciliation
- Production support and troubleshooting of data pipelines
- Strong SQL skills including T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, indexing and partitioning

Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, Azure Data Factory and Airflow




- Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures and database solutions
- Perform SQL Server and PostgreSQL performance tuning
- Build data ingestion pipelines from databases, APIs, files and SaaS sources
- Support large-scale data migration and modernization projects
- Implement data validation, reconciliation, quality checks, logging and monitoring
- Develop batch and near-real-time data processing solutions
- Work with Azure SQL, ADF, ADLS, Azure Functions, Key Vault and Azure Monitor
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, data-quality issues and production incidents
- Collaborate with architects, analysts, ML teams and other engineers
- Work with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Spark and Delta Lake

Preferred Skills

PySpark/Spark, REST APIs, Kafka/Event Hubs, Excellent Expectations, Databricks, Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric.

Candidates must be interested in a 3-month C2C contract and comfortable working onsite in Bengaluru, 5 days a week.
