- Vendor Sourcing & Qualifications: Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-performing domestic and international suppliers specializing in precision machining (CNC, milling, turning), sheet metal fabrication, and mechanical assembly.
- Technical Interface: Review engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;), and Bill of Materials (BOM) to assess supplier capabilities and manufacturing feasibility (DFM/DFA).
- Outsourcing Operations: Manage the end-to-end outsourcing lifecycle, from Request for Quote (RFQ) generation to final product delivery.
- Supplier Quality & Performance: Conduct technical audits of supplier facilities. Track and report vendor KPIs, including on-time delivery (OTD), cost variance, and Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO).
- Cost & Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, lead times, and Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with machining vendors to meet targeted cost-reduction goals.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify supply chain bottlenecks and establish secondary sourcing strategies to ensure uninterrupted production flow.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education:



Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in supply chain engineering, strategic sourcing, or manufacturing engineering within an automation, robotics, or heavy machinery environment.
- Machining Expertise: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, surface treatments (anodizing, plating), welding, and casting.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency in reading engineering blueprints and utilizing 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Autodesk, etc.).
- Systems Experience: Robust working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Tally)
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, cross-functional communication, and project management capabilities.
