The organization is a B2B AI-powered data and lead generation platform that helps

businesses identify, enrich, analyze, and engage with potential customers. Our

platform works with large volumes of business and contact data, requiring highly

scalable, reliable, and optimized data infrastructure.

We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer / Database Architect who

can take ownership of our database architecture, performance, scalability, reliability,

and production database operations.

Key Responsibilities

Database Architecture & Design

 Own and continuously improve database architecture and schema design.

 Design scalable database schemas, relationships, indexes, constraints, and

data models.

 Define database standards, design principles, and best practices for the

engineering team.

 Review existing database structures and recommend improvements for

scalability and maintainability.

Performance & Query Optimization

 Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries.

 Analyze query execution plans and identify database performance

bottlenecks.

 Perform slow-query analysis and proactively optimize database workloads.

 Optimize indexing strategies for high-volume transactional and analytical

workloads.

 Work closely with backend engineers to implement efficient data-access

patterns.

Large-Scale Data Management

 Design and manage databases handling large tables and high-volume data

workloads.

 Develop strategies for partitioning, indexing, replication, and efficient data

processing.

 Ensure database architecture can scale as Sales Centri's data volumes and

customer base grow.

 Optimize storage, queries, and database resources for large datasets.

Database Reliability & Production Operations

 Establish and maintain database backup, restore, replication, and disaster

recovery strategies.

 Monitor database health, capacity, performance, and availability.





 Improve database observability through appropriate monitoring, metrics,

alerts, and logging.

 Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in production environments.

 Participate in production incident investigation and root-cause analysis.

Database Migration & Schema Evolution

 Plan and execute database migrations with minimal production impact.

 Manage schema changes, versioning, and database evolution across

environments.

 Ensure migration processes include appropriate validation, rollback, and

recovery mechanisms.

 Support migration and integration between MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL

where required.

Engineering Collaboration

 Work closely with backend engineers, DevOps, product, and data teams.

 Guide developers on database design, query optimization, transactions, and

efficient data access.

 Review database-related changes and provide technical guidance during

code reviews.

 Help establish engineering practices that improve database performance,

reliability, and maintainability.

Required Skills & Experience

 5+ years of hands-on experience in database engineering, database

administration, or database architecture.

 Strong hands-on experience with MySQL / MariaDB.

 Robust hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.

 Excellent understanding of relational database architecture and schema

design.

 Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.

 Strong understanding of indexing and query execution-plan analysis.

 Experience with database migrations and schema evolution.

 Strong understanding of transactions, locking, concurrency, and isolation

levels.

 Hands-on experience with backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery.

 Experience managing production databases with large datasets.

 Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 Comfortable working in Linux production environments.

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
