While publication design will be your core responsibility, the role will also offer opportunities to work across a broader spectrum of design, including product design, environmental design, visual communication and other creative projects.
We are looking for someone who combines strong design fundamentals with sound technical skills, excellent organisation, a collaborative mindset and a willingness to explore new technologies, including AI-powered design tools.
Key Responsibilities

- Transform complex educational content into clear, engaging and visually effective layouts.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy, grids, colour, image selection and visual consistency.
- Prepare print-ready files, manage artwork, and ensure accuracy and quality throughout the production process.
- Work within established design guidelines while bringing fresh ideas and creative solutions to projects.
2. Project Planning & Execution
- Plan and manage design assignments from briefing to final delivery.
- Estimate timelines, prioritise tasks and independently manage deadlines across multiple projects.
- Coordinate with curriculum teams, editors, designers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
- Anticipate challenges, communicate potential delays early and take responsibility for timely delivery.
- Maintain organised working files, documentation and version control.
3. Cross-functional Design Support
- Work with different curriculum teams within CCT to understand their requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Adapt to a variety of content, project types, audiences and visual styles.
- Contribute to projects beyond publication design, including product design, environmental design, presentations and other visual communication requirements, as needed.
- Participate in brainstorming, creative reviews and collaborative problem-solving.
4. Technology & Design Innovation
- Demonstrate adaptability in learning new design software, digital tools and emerging technologies.
- Explore and responsibly use AI-powered tools to improve creative exploration, workflow efficiency and productivity.
- Stay informed about evolving design practices, tools and visual trends.

5. Quality & Collaboration
- Maintain high standards of design quality, accuracy, consistency and attention to detail.
- Be receptive to feedback and incorporate revisions thoughtfully.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Take ownership of assignments and follow through without requiring constant supervision.
Must-have Qualifications

- Sound understanding of typography, layout, visual hierarchy, colour theory and design principles.
- Working knowledge of CorelDRAW, along with proficiency in relevant contemporary design software.
- Ability to prepare print-ready artwork and understand printing, pagination, image resolution and pre-press requirements.
- Strong organisational, project-planning and time-management skills.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritise work and meet deadlines independently.
- A proactive, responsible and adaptable approach to work.
