Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Lab IN-CHARGE with strong experience in the cable manufacturing industry to manage and oversee production operations at our manufacturing facility in Kundli, Sonipat.

Key responsibilities

- Run the lab day to day, plan testing so production is not held waiting, and manage the lab staff assigned to you.
- Own incoming quality control for the whole plant: copper, PVC resin and compounding additives, moulding granules, brass pins and plated contacts, terminals, bought-out connectors and critical packaging. Verify supplier certificates, inspect and test, release or reject, and keep lot records.
- Raise supplier rejections with purchase and track them to closure with evidence.
- Test cords, plugs, harnesses and connectors: hi-pot, continuity, polarity, cord pull and retention, temperature rise and force testing.
- Maintain the test records, sample retention and inspection readiness required under our BIS licences.
- Support UL follow-up inspections and TÜV or third-party testing with samples, records and test data.




- Own the plant-wide calibration master list covering lab and shop-floor instruments. Schedule internal and external calibration, file certificates, quarantine overdue or failed instruments, and assess the impact when an instrument is found out of tolerance.
- Write and maintain test methods, and keep the standards library current.
- Issue test reports and certificates for dispatch where customers require them.
- Report monthly on incoming rejections by supplier, test backlog and calibration status.

Qualifications

Required

- B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or B.Sc / M.Sc in Physics or Chemistry.
- 6 or more years working in a wire and cable testing laboratory.
- At least 2 years as lab in-charge or senior tester.
- Has carried out cable tests to Indian or IEC standards such as IS 694, IS 1554, IS 8130, IS 10810, IEC 60227 or IEC 60502.
- Has worked in a BIS-licensed factory and taken part in BIS inspections.
- Has maintained calibration records for test and measuring equipment.
- Has run incoming inspection of raw materials such as copper or PVC, including certificate verification.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
