Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent, qualified MBBS Doctor with clinical experience in performing and interpreting Treadmill Tests (TMT / Exercise Stress Tests). The doctor will be responsible for screening patients, supervising live TMT procedures, ensuring emergency patient safety, and issuing accurate medical reports indicating whether the test is Positive (Positive for Inducible Ischemia) or Negative (Negative for Inducible Ischemia).
2. Key Responsibilities A. Patient Evaluation & Safety
- Perform pre-test clinical evaluation of patients, including taking relevant medical history, checking baseline blood pressure, pulse, and resting 12-lead ECG.
- Identify absolute and relative contraindications to stress testing (e.g., severe aortic stenosis, acute MI, unstable angina, uncontrolled hypertension).
- Explain the procedure clearly to the patient, obtain informed written consent, and address any anxieties.
B. TMT Supervision & Monitoring
- Direct and monitor live TMT procedures following standard Bruce or modified Bruce protocols.
- Continuously monitor real-time 12-lead ECG, blood pressure responses, heart rate, and patient symptoms during exercise and recovery phases.
- Determine when to safely terminate the test based on target heart rate (MPHR), physical exhaustion, or clinical criteria (e.g., severe angina, significant ST-segment depression/elevation, arrhythmias, or drop in blood pressure).
C. Emergency Management
- Promptly handle any adverse events during testing, such as severe hypotension, chest pain, arrhythmias, or vasovagal syncope.
- Manage emergency resuscitation equipment (Defibrillator, Emergency Drug Cart, Oxygen support) if required.
D. TMT Reporting & Interpretation
- Analyze ST-T segment changes, double product, METs achieved, baseline vs. peak exercise ECG, and recovery dynamics.
- Provide explicit, concise, and definitive medical reports:
- Negative for Inducible Ischemia: Normal heart rate/BP response with no ischemic ECG changes or cardiac symptoms.
- Positive for Inducible Ischemia: Significant horizontal or downsloping ST-segment depression/elevation, with or without chest discomfort.
- Inconclusive / Incomplete: Submaximal effort due to musculoskeletal fatigue or non-diagnostic ECG changes.
- Recommend appropriate clinical follow-ups (e.g., referral to a Cardiologist for 2D Echo, CT Coronary Angiogram, or Conventional Angiography) for positive/equivocal cases.
3. Required Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Qualification: MBBS degree from an NMC (National Medical Commission) / MCI recognized medical college.
- Registration: Valid registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) or NMC.
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of clinical experience in a hospital, ICU, or diagnostic center with direct experience in conducting and reporting TMT/ECG tests.
- Certifications (Preferred): ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) / BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
4. Key Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in 12-lead ECG interpretation (resting and exercise-induced changes).
- Hands-on familiarity with computerized TMT equipment and diagnostic software.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills to recognize early warning signs of cardiac distress.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
