JOB PROFILE –Head Operations

This position is to head the operations of a phosphoric acid plant built on a novel technology under project execution. Initially, the selected candidate is expected to head the process engineering of the project activity, liaise with technology provider, commission the plant and then take over the operations.

Qualification & Experience:

· Degree in Chemical Engineering with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience

· Or a Diploma in Chemical Engineering with minimum 15 years of relevant experience.

· Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in operation of a Phosphoric Acid Plant as Shift In-Charge or Overall, In-Charge of Operations.

· Should have worked in a phosphoric acid plant project execution and must be familiar with Process Flow Diagrams, P and ID, execution of reaction and filtration systems and familiar with Horizontal belt filter operations.

· Experience in process operations, plant start-up/shutdown, process monitoring and troubleshooting.

Key Process Engineering Responsibilities:





· Monitor and optimize Phosphoric Acid Plant process parameters and operating conditions.

· Review process flow diagrams, material balances and process calculations.

· Develop and review SOPs, operating procedures and start-up/shutdown procedures.

· Monitor plant performance, production, acid concentration, recovery and process efficiency.

· Identify process deviations, carry out troubleshooting and recommend corrective actions.

· Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Electrical and Instrumentation teams for reliable plant operation.

· Review process equipment, control philosophy, interlocks and process instrumentation from an operational perspective.

· Support plant commissioning, start-up, performance testing and process optimization.

· Monitor process safety, environmental parameters and safe operating practices.

· Prepare and review daily/shift operating reports and process performance data.
