Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer – Residential Construction to oversee the planning, execution, and supervision of residential construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring construction quality, monitoring project progress, coordinating with contractors and site teams, managing materials, and ensuring that work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day construction activities at residential project sites.
- Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
- Monitor civil work, including excavation, foundation, RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, and finishing.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Review architectural and structural drawings and identify discrepancies before execution.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure completion within project schedules.
- Inspect the quality of materials and workmanship at every stage of construction.
- Ensure proper utilization of cement, steel, sand, aggregates, concrete, and other construction materials.
- Prepare daily progress reports, site measurements, and work completion records.
- Coordinate material requirements, procurement, deliveries, and site inventory.
- Monitor labour productivity and coordinate manpower allocation with contractors.
- Ensure compliance with construction safety procedures and site regulations.
- Identify technical issues and implement corrective actions in coordination with senior engineers.
- Conduct site inspections and coordinate testing of construction materials when required.
- Monitor work as per BOQ, project specifications,



and approved quantities.
- Coordinate with the billing and estimation team for measurements and contractor bills.
- Ensure proper execution of finishing works, including painting, tiling, plumbing coordination, and electrical coordination.
- Maintain site documentation, inspection records, drawings, and quality checklists.
- Minimize material wastage and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Coordinate snagging, defect rectification, and handover activities.

Requirements

- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in residential construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site execution.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing work.
- Familiarity with BOQ, quantity estimation, site measurements, and contractor billing.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and construction safety practices.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Office.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage site activities, contractors, and labour teams effectively.
- Willingness to work at construction sites and meet project deadlines.
