About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Design & Automation Engineer to independently design, develop and customise roll-to-roll (R2R) machinery, from concept and detailed engineering through manufacturing, assembly, automation integration and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop new machine designs and modify existing designs based on technical requirements.
- Prepare 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Design and integrate mechanical systems, PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, sensors and motion-control systems.
- Develop and implement web handling and tension control systems, including unwinding, rewinding, web guiding, load cells and dancer rollers.
- Coordinate with external vendors for machining, fabrication and component manufacturing.
- Lead machine assembly, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning.
- Maintain engineering documentation and coordinate with technology partners and other engineering teams.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5–10 years of experience in machine design,



industrial automation or special-purpose machinery.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and mechanical design.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, VFDs and motion control.
- Knowledge of web handling, closed-loop tension control and winding/unwinding systems.
- Ability to independently develop machines from concept to commissioning.
- Experience with manufacturing drawings, BOMs, vendor coordination and machine integration.

Experience with roll-to-roll machinery, coating, laminating, printing or other continuous-process equipment is highly preferred.

Ideal Candidate

A practical, technically strong engineer capable of taking complete ownership of current machine designs, tension control, automation integration, manufacturing coordination and commissioning.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year

Experience:

Willingness to travel:
