Job Description – Officer – Safety

Industry: Chemical Manufacturing

Location: Padra, Vadodara, Gujarat

Designation: Officer – Safety

Experience: 2–5 Years

Qualification: B.Sc. with PDIS (UGC-approved, regular course)

CTC: ₹2.0–4.5 LPA

Role & Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor safety procedures in chemical manufacturing operations.

- Ensure compliance with applicable safety laws, statutory requirements, and company EHS policies.

- Conduct routine safety inspections, workplace audits, and risk assessments.

- Monitor compliance with PPE requirements, work permits, and safe working practices.

- Ensure protected execution of hot work, confined space entry, work at height, and other hazardous activities.

- Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports with root cause analysis.

- Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and regular safety training for employees and contract workers.

- Monitor fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, and mock drills.

- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance,



and other departments to maintain a safe working environment.

- Maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, training records, and statutory registers.

- Support the implementation of safety standards and continuous improvement initiatives at the plant.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- B.Sc. with PDIS from a UGC-approved institution through a regular course.

- 2–5 years of relevant safety experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.

- Good knowledge of industrial safety practices, hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.

- Familiarity with PPE, permit-to-work systems, fire safety, emergency response, and chemical handling hazards.

- Ability to conduct safety inspections, audits, and employee training.

- Good communication, coordination, reporting, and documentation skills.

- Willingness to work at the chemical manufacturing plant in Dudhwada, Padra, Vadodara.
