About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to produce high-quality, engaging video content for social media platforms. The primary responsibility will be editing short-form videos such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media content. Occasionally, the role may also involve editing long-form videos.

We value creativity, storytelling, and the ability to deliver polished, professional-quality videos that capture attention and keep audiences engaged.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit short-form videos, primarily Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media content.
- Create engaging videos using effective pacing, transitions, cuts, music, sound effects, captions, and visual elements.
- Ensure high-quality output with attention to detail, visual consistency, and platform-specific requirements.
- Understand content briefs and translate ideas into compelling video content.
- Select appropriate footage, music, effects, and editing styles to enhance the final output.
- Incorporate feedback and complete revisions within agreed timelines.
- Occasionally edit long-form videos when required.
- Collaborate with videographers or content creators to ensure footage is captured in a way that supports the intended edits and final output.
- Stay updated with current video editing trends, formats, and creative styles across social media platforms.

Requirements

- Proven experience in editing high-quality videos, especially short-form social media content.




- A strong portfolio demonstrating video editing skills and the quality of work delivered. Applicants must share direct links to previously edited videos.
- Good understanding of storytelling, pacing, transitions, audio synchronization, and visual composition.
- Ability to create engaging content aligned with a given brief, brand identity, and target audience.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Openness to feedback and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills: An Added Advantage

- Knowledge or experience in videography.
- Ability to guide videographers on camera angles, shot composition, framing, movements, lighting, and footage requirements based on the intended edits.
- Experience participating in or assisting with video shoots, including planning shots and coordinating footage capture.
- Ability to identify the right shots and direct the filming process to achieve the desired final video.

Videography experience and participation in shoots are a plus, not mandatory requirements.

Software Requirements

Experience with any specific editing software is not mandatory. Candidates may use any editing application or software of their choice, provided they can consistently deliver high-quality, professional results.
