Job Summary

JSE Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with experience in electrical building services design for commercial, residential and industrial projects. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of electrical load calculations, lighting and power layouts, cable sizing, power distribution and preparation of electrical design drawings.

Key Responsibilities

- Design electrical systems for commercial, residential, industrial and other building projects.
- Prepare lighting layouts, power layouts, small power layouts and electrical distribution drawings.
- Perform electrical load calculations and prepare load schedules.
- Design and coordinate power distribution systems, including transformers, generators, panels, switchgear and distribution boards, as applicable.
- Perform cable sizing, voltage drop calculations and electrical equipment selection.
- Prepare single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic diagrams, layouts and detailed electrical drawings.
- Design cable tray, cable ladder and electrical containment layouts.
- Coordinate electrical designs with HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, structural and architectural teams.
- Review drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable electrical standards.
- Use AutoCAD and, where required, Revit MEP for electrical design and documentation.




- Coordinate with BIM teams to resolve clashes and incorporate design revisions.
- Prepare technical calculations, equipment schedules and other project documentation.
- Ensure timely completion of design deliverables and maintain drawing quality.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of electrical building services design.
- Experience in lighting, power distribution and electrical layouts.
- Knowledge of electrical load calculations, cable sizing and voltage drop calculations.
- Understanding of SLDs, panel schedules, earthing and electrical protection systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP is preferred.
- Familiarity with applicable electrical codes and standards, including relevant IEC and local requirements.
- Good coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Relevant experience in electrical building services design is preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in MEP consultancies, engineering design companies or building services design firms.
- Experience with commercial buildings, residential projects, hospitals, hotels or industrial facilities.
- Candidates with GCC or international project experience will have an added advantage.
