- Receiving & Inspection: Unload incoming deliveries, inspect goods for damage or defects, and verify quantities against delivery notes and purchase orders. [1, 2, 3]
- Stock Organization & Storage: Assign proper storage locations for items, keeping the storeroom or warehouse clean, protected, and orderly. [1, 2, 3]
- Inventory Control & Rotation: Track stock levels, apply rotation methods like FIFO (First In, First Out) for dated or perishable goods, and report low-stock or damaged items to management. [1, 2]
- Kitting & Issuing: Pull, pack, and issue tools, components, and materials to production floors, shop floors, or internal departments based on job cards or requisitions. [1, 2]
- Dispatch & Packaging: Prepare outgoing goods, package items accurately, load vehicles, and handle shipping documentation. [1, 2, 3]
- Record Keeping & Audits: Update inventory management software, maintain paper or digital logs, and assist with regular stock-takes and cycle counts. [1, 2]
