Job Title
Civil & Structural 3D Modeler / Senior Designer
Location
Chennai , India
Experience

- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in industrial projects
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, FMCG, or Heavy Engineering projects preferred

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain Civil & Structural 3D models using SP3D, Tekla Structures, software.
- Model RCC and structural steel components such as:

o Equipment foundations
o Pipe racks
o Industrial buildings
o Platforms, stairs, and handrails
o Technological structures

- Prepare and extract:

o General Arrangement (GA) drawings
o RCC detail drawings
o Structural steel detail drawings
o Foundation drawings
o Fabrication and construction drawings

- Generate 2D deliverables from 3D models using AutoCAD/MicroStation.
- Coordinate with Civil, Process, Piping, Mechanical, and E&I; disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, modeling standards, and quality requirements.
- Support model reviews, clash checks,



and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Assist construction and fabrication teams with design queries.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in SP3D and/or Tekla Structures.
- Working knowledge of:

o AutoCAD
o MicroStation/E3D/Revit (preferred)

- Valuable understanding of:

o Structural steel detailing
o RCC detailing
o Industrial plant layouts
o Construction drawings and standards

- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple disciplines.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma in Civil Engineering (for Designer/Modeler role).
- Degree holders may also be considered based on experience.

Preferred Competencies

- Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Knowledge of US/Indian engineering practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Exposure to MTO/BOQ generation from 3D models.
